The Velvet - one of Klippan's classic throws - is made of 100% lambs wool. The definition of lambs wool is the first shearing of the sheep that is no older than six months. Klippan throws are perfect for snuggling up in on the sofa, or for keeping you warm on those cooler evenings when you want to use your outdoor furniture - the Klippan Velvet also makes a gorgeous throw for the end of your bed.

Klippan is a family run business known for its high quality in of design and it's usage of pure natural fibres. Klippan is one of very few producers of this kind remaining in Europe. To manage the production and fully control the quality, Klippan produces all its blankets and throws in its own mill in Latvia. All of the wool used by Klippan comes from New Zealand and can be traced all the way back to the individual sheep farm. This means that Klippan can ensure high quality and at the same time be environmentally friendly. For the last few years Klippan has also been able to offer throws and blankets made of wool from farmers running sheep breeding using ecological principals (eco wool).
