Once upon a time, a girl named Andrea dreamed a dream — to create a sanctuary of sensory bliss… a place that lifts the spirit, touches the soul, and inspires people to embrace their creative destiny. A place that encourages you to live your own dream.
Cosi Fan Tutte is an emporium of delights — a slightly surreal arrangement of beautiful objects inspired by fairytales and exotic lands. It is a mysterious alchemy where ideas are always in process. Like life, Cosi is never at a standstill, but an ever-changing collage of textures and colour.
Cosi Fan Tutte is a visual delight — evoking the wistful sense of an exquisite existence. It is a comic opera, a treat for the senses, and a balm for the soul. Cosi Fan Tutte is truly a dream come true.
Beginnings
Cosi Fan Tutte — Beginnings
Cosi Fan Tutte (a name inspired by Mozart’s comic opera) began life over a decade ago at 95 Dyers Pass Road in Cashmere, Christchurch, a small and charming English-style city in New Zealand.
While sitting at a café in the Port Hills and spotting a “For Lease” sign across the road, Cosi’s founder Andrea Stagg decided to leap head-first into a new venture — and a new life.
Andrea’s passion for photography evolved into a love for creating beautiful shop displays. Combined with her lifelong love of travel and collecting vintage treasures, Cosi became the perfect expression of all her creative passions.

New Ownership, New Beginnings
In January 2017, Cosi Fan Tutte entered a new chapter when Debbie Grenfell became the new owner of the Tannery store. With the support of the dedicated Cosi team, Debbie embraced the responsibility of continuing the legacy while bringing in fresh ideas and new collections.
In February 2020, Debbie also acquired the Devonport store, reuniting both Cosi Fan Tutte locations under the same ownership once again — marking an exciting new era for the brand.
